This session describes the multi-institutional collaborative process in developing the Partnership for Informatics in Nursing Education (PINE) Case-Based Scenario Framework for an innovative inter-professional teaching strategy of interactive e-learning modules.
Attendees will: 1. Describe the attributes of effective partnerships between public health nursing education and nursing informatics across academic institutions. 2. Explore use of the Partners for Informatics in Nursing Education Case-Based Scenario Framework in developing interactive e-Learning Modules. 3. Discuss the effectiveness of an interactive e-learning module in building student competency in the areas of electronic health record use, evidence-based practice, and outcomes evaluation within the context of a public health nursing framework.
