This presentation will highlight an innovative teaching strategy developed to enlighten undergraduate nursing students about societal health issues and challenge them to identify evidence-based interdisciplinary interventions to address issues at the community and systems level.
Attendees will: 1. Describe an innovative teaching strategy poster assignment to promote and evaluate public health nursing competencies. 2. Discuss the benefits of utilizing a poster assignment to enhance students' public health nursing knowledge in addressing priority health concerns at the community and system level. 3. State lessons learned from the process of implementing a poster assignment.
