Dr. Mattingly has taught at Indiana University Southeast since Fall 2015. She previously taught at a private college in Central Illinois, from 2009-2015. She has been a registered nurse for 27 years, working in the acute care medical-surgical setting, home health nursing, and community/public health nursing, including supervisory and management positions. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1992 with her BSN; the University of Hartford with her MSN with a community/public health focus in 2006; and Loyola University Chicago with her DNP with an infection prevention focus in 2014. She holds an ANCC certification as a Public Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. Her professional interests include underserved populations, health promotion, and social justice.
